|
|

multidimensional approach to pain relief and healing |
|
|
Developed in Australia by the late Tom
Bowen, Bowen Therapy is a system of moves that challenges soft tissue, releases
its congestion and stimulates energy flow, it relieves pain and iflammation and
is an overall tonic to the body's innate ablility to heal itself. It's positive
effects on nerve, muscle and connective tissue provides lasting relief from
pain and misalignment in the simplest and most effective manner. For more than
40 years it has been used successfully to treat tens of thousands of people
suffering from a huge variety of ailments. |
|
Bowen Therapy is safe for everyone, from new
borns to the old aged. It is safe to use as a treatment for both acute and
chronic conditions. Bowen Therapy relieves the body's reactive patterns to
injury, pain and misalignment through a series of relaxing and gentle moves on
specific points on the body. The moves are light, usually performed through
clothing, making it simple to receive therapy for those in severe pain and
immobility. Perhaps the most unique aspect of Bowen Therapy are 'pauses' of
time that are given between sets of therapeutic moves during a treatment
session. It is this 'pause' of time provided between sets of Bowen Therapy
moves that enables the body the time to respond. |
|
Bowen Therapy is a holistic remedial body
technique that works on the soft connective tissue (fascia) of the body. Bowen
Therapy can be used to treat musculoskeletal or related neurological problems
including acute sports injuries and chronic or organic conditions.
|
|
Bowen Therapy is gentle and effective at
resolving an array of muscular/skeletal problems. It encourages the body to
reset and heal itself with minimal intervention. This therapy changes the
body's negative reaction to injury, pain and missalignment to a positive
reaction. This is done through a series of subtle and precise moves over the
muscles, tendons, nerves and fascia. |
